As a member of the research team, Sydney Martis supports Team NEO’s core mission of business attraction and expansion by providing economic, demographic, workforce and real estate data to help provide the business case for companies to locate or expand in Northeast Ohio. She has contributed to Team NEO as one of the primary authors of the Industrial Internet of Things Roadmap which guides our Smart Manufacturing Cluster and the Aligning Opportunities in Northeast Ohio report which serves as a core pillar of the region’s talent initiatives.
Sydney has been refining her economic development research skills for nearly 5 years. She gained most of her previous experience working as a graduate research assistant for the Center for Economic Development at Cleveland State University (CSU).
She holds a Master of Science Degree in Urban Planning and Development from CSU and a Bachelor of Art Degree in Economics from the University of Akron. Sydney is actively involved in Downtown Cleveland Alliance City Advocates.
