Living in Northeast Ohio has so many family-friendly perks.
In NEO we have everything from winter-weather outings to Peninsula, fall apple-picking in Geauga County, and SO MUCH summer fun in Sandusky…
No matter the season, parents can find an abundance of kid-friendly excursions within 30 miles. While Spring has certainly sprung, last week, my son and I were motivated to do something different when he had a day-off from school. A mom friend introduced the idea to take our boys to Lake Metroparks Farmpark. And holy cow, am I glad we did.
According to the Farmpark’s website:
“Farmpark provides a connection to our agricultural roots, helping people understand where our food and clothing come from.”
While we didn’t go for any specific tour or event, the Farmpark is set-up so that children (and adults) undoubtedly leave with more knowledge about our regional agriculture. With nothing but my iPhone in tow, below I’d like to share some photos from the day and deeply encourage people of all ages to check out this very cool Northeast Ohioan experience.
It was a lovely Spring Day at the Farmpark. Now tell me, what are your favorite seasonal, regional outings? We’d love to feature even more!
