Cleveland Plus Visits Rockwell Automation

Rockwell Automation is a 110-year-old global corporation with significant operations in Northeast Ohio. It is the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information. They were recently named one of the 25 best tech companies to work for in America, along with the likes of Facebook, Google and Microsoft. Supporting industries such as automotive, food production, entertainment, and more, Rockwell’s 2,500 local employees represent a diverse group of talent from all across the globe.

Last week, Cleveland Plus and its Social Media Advisory Committee (SMAC), visited Rockwell’s facility in Mayfield Heights. During the visit, the group got a behind-the-scenes look at the innovative work taking place inside Rockwell’s walls.

While at Rockwell, Cleveland Plus’ SMAC group had the privilege to meet a number of Rockwell employees and also learn about how the company competes on a global scale. Rockwell gave an information-packed presentation and also took the group on a tour of their Connected Enterprise Customer Solution Center.

Rockwell’s VP of Engineering, CVB, Architecture and Software, discusses the company’s dedication to company culture and giving back to NEO

“We don’t advertise at the Super Bowl – we’re not that kind of company. We are the kind of company that helps other companies succeed- we’re working with the highest state of the art, high-tech stuff.”

SMAC receives a comprehensive tour of Rockwell Automation’s technology, “Latest and greatest operating systems, high-tech development used to solve problems.”

Arielle Stevens, who works in Rockwell’s Leadership Development Program, was transferred from Rockwell’s corporate headquarters in Milwaukee to Cleveland and has loved her time in the region.

“My husband and I really love the Metroparks and all the action downtown… I am only here for one year but I am looking to stay near Cleveland once I finish the program.”

SMAC committee member, Nick Borelli (pictured above), commented on Rockwell’s focus on jobs in STEM:

“I’ve known about Rockwell Automation for years but I have a totally different perspective of them now. They are extremely progressive as an employer and have some incredible opportunities for STEM employment right here in Northeast Ohio.”

With global operations, we are proud that Rockwell Automation chooses to do business in Northeast Ohio. Their investment in our region and its employees is a testament to the tremendous work they do each day. As Rockwell continues to drive innovation, their success is felt throughout the entire region.

Northeast Ohio is happy to have you, Rockwell!
