Why did you choose to build your business in Northeast Ohio?
Cleveland is my home and is the place I continuously chose to keep our business. In reality, Northeastern Ohio chose me as I was born in Twinsburg and have no plans of leaving Cleveland anytime soon. I have a beautiful wife and four wonderful kids who call this their home as well.
What are some of the benefits you have found in doing business in Northeast Ohio?
The benefits I see in doing business in Northeast Ohio are that the cost of operating our business are reasonable yet the fees associated with our industry are pretty much on par with the rest of the nation. That means by definition, Northeast Ohio may just be a region built for yielding higher profit margins than other cities or regions with higher costs of living and higher operating costs.
Cleveland is also a cultural melting pot, which gives us a great pool of people to choose from when hand selecting our team members.
I love Cleveland!
How would you characterize Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial community?
Strong and Thriving. I truly believe that age is only a number; however, when I look around and see the dozens, if not hundreds, of young aggressive entrepreneurs in this city (aka: the movers and shakers), it makes me extremely confident in the future and it excites me to dream and create a vision for what this city will become in the next 10, 20, and 30 years.
What advice would you give to a start-up company looking to build their business in Northeast Ohio?
Emulate success, Make it your own, and you will be successful…Take a look around you at the Northeast Ohio based entrepreneurs and business owners that you aspire to be like, and connect with them. Many of them (including me) would be more than happy to have a cup of coffee, break bread, or just mentor / share at any opportunity.
Serious entrepreneurs don’t just like building businesses, they like helping to build other entrepreneurs too!
